About Dr. McGary

Dr. Julia McGary

Dr. McGary, the daughter of a dentist, was born and raised in California. Although she grew up in CA, she considers herself a Washingtonian that was born in the wrong state. She loves the rain!

Early in her career, she attended hygiene school and then practiced dental hygiene in the Snohomish County area for several years before choosing to attend the University of the Pacific, now the Arthur A. Dugoni Dental School in California. She graduated with Honors in 2002 and returned to Snohomish County to begin her dental practice.

Believing strongly in continuing education, she has received advanced training through the Spear Institute and is currently a visiting faculty member at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Scottsdale, AZ. Dr. McGary maintains membership in the American Dental Association and its state and local components, the Academy of Women Dentists, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a member of a local Spear study club.

Every year since 2010, Dr. McGary has been voted by her peers as a topDentists and will be listed again in the January 2016 edition of Seattle Met Magazine as a topDentists, which is considered a singular honor among others in her profession.

Dr. McGary is an avid animal lover and supporter of Beagle Rescue and NOAH (Northwest Organization for Animal Help.) She is the attentive personal assistant to her three beagles, "Rosie, Sophie, and Lizzie." When she is not pampering her pets, she enjoys quilting, weaving, reading, and scrapbooking.

Meet Our Front Office

Hello! My name is Danielle.

Danielle

I joined the team in March 2015, as the office Financial Coordinator. I have had the pleasure of meeting everyone and getting to know their names.

I have 19 years customer service experience in medical, auto body, and restaurant industries.

It is important for me to really understand what a patient really needs with regard to dental treatment, then help them create a plan to get the work completed as efficiently as possible.

During my free time, I love to spend time with family, complete projects around the house, and working in my new yard. I also like hot yoga and working out.

Hello! My name is Amanda.

It has been my pleasure to meet everyone and to help patients plan and prioritize any needed dental treatments.

I am the new Insurance Coordinator.

It is my pleasure to help our patients with their insurance questions.

Getting answers to your dental insurance questions from the various insurance companies can take a day or two, or longer. It is important for you to keep us up-to-date with your insurance information so we can get those answers to you before your next dental appointment.

If your insurance dental plan changes, call with your new information and the effective date.

Please stop by to introduce yourself on your next visit.

I have been a Restorative Dental Hygienist for over 20 years and still love it every day. After completing the Dental Hygiene Program at Yakima Valley College, I attended the University of WA to further my dental hygiene education.

I love to travel and enjoyed working in Germany and student teaching at the Dental Hygiene School in Lisbon, Portugal. In my free time I love skiing, camping, and spending time with my family.

I volunteer at my children's school and support L'il Hungry Hearts and the Girl Scouts.  I have been happily working for Dr. McGary since 2007.

Hi! My name is Meghan,

Meghan

I am a Restorative Dental Hygienist. I received my Dental Hygiene degree from Shoreline Community College and I have a degree in Psychology from Washington State University.

I love working at Cedar Family Dentistry because everyone working here truly cares about our patients and they always give the highest quality care possible. My favorite thing about being a dental hygienist is working with patients to find out ways to improve their oral health that will work with their lifestyle.

I am an animal lover and when not at work, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, horses, chickens, cockatiels, and fish. I love arts and crafts and I spend much of my free time quilting, knitting, scrapbooking, or gardening.
